Oven Fried Chicken

Crispy, golden-brown oven-fried chicken pieces on a white plate, garnished with fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 pound broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
Yield: 4 Servings
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour

Instructions

Heat oven to 425°. Heat margarine in 9 x 13 inch pan in oven until melted. Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken pieces with flour mixture. Place chicken, skin side down, in pan. Bake uncovered 30 minutes. Turn chicken and bake 30 minutes longer or until juices run clear.
