How to access New York Times Online

The Upper Arlington Public Library is pleased to offer free online access to the New York Times to our patrons. By following a few simple steps, you can get unlimited access to articles on inside or outside of the library.

Inside any UA library location

  • Use one of our public computers, or use your device to connect to our wifi.
  • Create a free account at, or log into your existing account.
  • Then read all the articles you would like!

Outside of UA Library locations

  • Go to the New York Times Digital Access page.
  • Enter your UA Library card number and PIN.
  • Click the “Redeem” button next to the access code.
  • Enter your email address to create or log in to your account, then you will be able to read unlimited articles on any internet browser or in the NYT smartphone apps.
  • This code will expire after three days (72 hours). When that happens, go back to the New York Times Digital Access to redeem the code again, and as often as you would like!
