Mandarin Orange Salad

Layered mandarin orange salad in glass bowl. Topped with pink cream, mandarin segments, mint, and nuts. Banana slices visible.

Ingredients

  • 2 package orange gelatin (3-oz)
  • 2 cup hot water (or 1 3/4 c hot water and 1/4 c sherry wine)
  • 1 us liquid pint orange sherbet
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (large, drained)
  • 1 can mandarin oranges (small, drained)
  • 2 bananas (diced)
  • nuts (chopped)
Yield: 12 Servings
Prep Time: 1 hour
Cook Time: 10 minutes

Instructions

Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Melt sherbet in gelatin mixture. Add fruit and nuts as desired. Pour mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan; chill until firm.
