Grandma’s Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
- 1 egg (well beaten)
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cup flour
- strawberries
- whipped cream
Yield: 8 Servings
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Instructions
Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together. Add to mixture, then add milk. Drop by large spoonfuls on baking sheet. Makes 8. Bake in 400° oven until brown. Serve with strawberries and whipped cream.
