Filled Sour Cream Cake

Slice of filled sour cream cake on a blue and white plate, topped with white frosting and chopped nuts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts ( for filling)
  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar (for filling)
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon (for filling)
Yield: 24 Servings
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes

Instructions

Sift together first three dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and beat. Alternate dry ingredients with sour cream. Add to egg-butter-sugar mixture. Put 1/2 of the mixture into a greased 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle filling (nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon); pour in rest of batter. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes.
