Cream 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup evaporated milk. Add water. Combine flour, baking powder and salt then fold into batter. Add cranberries. Bake in greased muffin tins at 350° for 35 minutes.
Sauce: Cook slightly 1/4 lb. butter, 1 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Serve over muffins.
