Brunch Casserole

Baked brunch casserole slice with melted cheese, ham, mushrooms, and toasted bread cubes, garnished with parsley.

Ingredients

  • 12 slice bread (crusts removed)
  • 1/2 pound shaved ham
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms (sliced, fresh)
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 cup Croutons
Yield: 12 Servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Instructions

Place 6 bread slices in a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Layer ham, cheese and mushrooms on bread. Cover with remaining slices of bread. Combine eggs, milk and salt, beating well. Pour over bread and refrigerate overnight, covered. Top with croutons and dot with butter. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
