Applesauce Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
- 1 2/3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt (or a couple of dashes)
- cinnamon (optional)
- ground cloves (optional)
- ginger (optional)
- nutmeg (optional)
- raisins (optional)
- walnuts, chopped (optional)
Yield: 24 Servings
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Instructions
Cream butter or margarine, brown sugar and white sugar. Add egg and applesauce. Mix well. Then add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Add cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, raisins and/or walnuts to taste. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° until done.
