The following are part of Upper Arlington Public Library’s Research Tools. Unless you are in one of our library locations, you will need your library card number and PIN to access them.
AtoZWorldFood – Learn about your destination’s food culture including dining etiquette, classic meals, special occasion foods, local beverages, and more.
CultureGrams – Learn important cultural facts about diet, manners, greetings and more before you travel to a foreign country, with CultureGrams: World Edition. You can also learn interesting histories and stats for US States with their State Edition.
Global Road Warrior – Explore countries around the world from a traveler’s perspective, and discover cultural information and practical notes, from the electric outlet type to the currency.
Mango Languages – Enhance your trip to a foreign country by learning a little bit of the language before you go. Along with their more in-depth language training modules, they also offer basic courses that will teach you some simple conversation skills in just a few hours.
National Geographic Virtual Library – Search for your travel destination to discover articles, images, and maps from National Geographic Magazine to help you learn more about where you will be visiting.
