Pumpkin Bread II

Slice of moist pumpkin bread on a plate, garnished with green pumpkin seeds.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, medium (or 3 large eggs)
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 1 can pumpkin (about 14 oz. can)
  • 3 cup sugar
  • 4 cup flour
  • 5 teaspoon baking powder (double action)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
Yield: 3 Loaves
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour

Instructions

Vigorously beat together eggs, cooking oil, pumpkin and sugar. Combine the rest of the ingredients. Add flour mixture to egg mixture alternately with 2/3 cup cold water. Pour combined mixtures into 3 (8 x 4-inch) pans. Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
