Holiday Pecan Pie

Pecan pie with a slice removed, showing filling and pecan topping. Garnished with herbs. Golden crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup shelled pecans (heaping cup)
  • 3 whole eggs (beaten)
  • 1 dash vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 9-inch unbaked pastry pie shell
Yield: 12 Servings
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 50 minutes

Instructions

Mix above ingredients well. Pour into pie shell and bake in a 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool and top it with whipped cream or ice cream.
