Public Computing
About Public Computing at the Library
At UAPL, we’ve got you covered with high-speed Wi-Fi access and Windows computers pre-loaded with a variety of popular applications. To get started, all you need is an Upper Arlington Public Library card or a valid card from a CLC partner library.
If you find that all of our computers are currently in use, don’t worry! Our friendly staff members will be happy to assist you with making a reservation. Reservations are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
We encourage our patrons to use USB flash drives for personal data storage and to keep their personal information safe. Please note that all files saved to the computer will be removed when your session concludes.
We want everyone to have a positive experience while using our services, which is why we ask that all internet use adheres to UAPL’s Internet Policy.

Web Meetings
Due to the potential for disrupting other computer users, meetings where you need to speak are not permitted in the computer areas. While webcams are operational for participation in online meetings, microphones are turned off on all public computers.
For web meetings like Zoom, patrons need to use the “Join from your Browser” link, as the Zoom application cannot be downloaded and installed.
Accessibility Features
All computers have the NVDA (Non-Visual Desktop Access) screen reader by NV Access installed to assist patrons with low vision or blindness. Additionally, one JAWS workstation is available at the Tremont Road branch’s Adult Department. Please ask a staff member if you need assistance using this software.
