Tales for Twos and Threes Class

For children ages 2-3 and their caregivers. Songs, rhymes and stories teach children how sounds and letters relate to reading and will build a foundation for future learning. Interaction with instructors and other children encourages social development and allows caregivers to connect.

Menopause: Myths and Miracles

It is a common myth that women have to suffer through menopause, and it is simply not true! Join Dr. Heather Hirsch for an informative session that will demystify the myths and fears relating to the treatment of some of the most bothersome menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, brain fog, and sexual changes. At the end of this hour long session you will feel better educated and hopefully excited to embark on this joyous chapter of your life. Come with questions, a notebook, and possibly a friend.

Dr. Heather Hirsch completed a two year fellowship program at the Cleveland Clinic in Menopause and Midlife and is now a physician and professor focusing on internal medicine and women’s health at The Ohio State University.

Preschool Storytime Class

For children ages 3 ½ to 6 and their caregivers. Children and caregivers will learn pre-reading skills through stories, songs and rhymes to help prepare them for their Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. Kindergarteners will continue to strengthen their skills. Skills include answering questions, repeating sentences, rhyming words and identifying sounds and letters.

LEGO Lit

Lego Lit is designed as a triple treat of stories, building, and relaxed socializing for kids in grades K-4. Registration is required and begins two weeks prior to each meeting.

Intro to Web Design

Web design skills are useful whether you want to create your own website, or build your resume. During four, 1-hour sessions, this program will introduce the basics of web design, including: HTML, CSS and Javascript, useful tools for building a website and additional resources to further your skills. The class will meet once per week for four weeks. Space is limited, so please only sign up if you can attend all four sessions. Some of the work will involve free lessons on codecademy.com, please create an account before the first session. You can bring your own laptop or use one of ours.

Babytime Class

For children 0-24 months and their caregivers. Caregivers will learn songs, stories and rhymes to enhance personal reading time. These skills will help children build vocabulary, recognize objects, and build a foundation for reading and learning. Some baby signs will be incorporated in this storytime. (Thursdays only)

Drop-in Thursday Activity Club

Make liquid motion toys, create snow and play Wii Games! We’ll do something new each Thursday afternoon. This is a drop-in for grades 4 and up so you can bring your friends or meet some new ones.
