This year’s Ohioana Book Festival will be held on Saturday April 8th. Ohioana Festival authors include poet Darren C. Demaree, historical novelist Linda Kass, and young adult novelist Natalie D. Richards who will join us for a moderated panel discussion. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, too. Writers and readers alike will enjoy this discussion.
Join Mansel Blackford for a discussion about how a major midwestern city developed economically, spatially, and socially, and what the environmental consequences have been, from its founding in 1812 to the present day. He’ll share stories of Columbuss evolution from an isolated frontier village to a modern metropolis which remains one of the few thriving cities in the Midwest.
Mansel Blackford is Professor Emeritus in the Department of History at The Ohio State University.
