Intro to Web Design

Web design skills are useful whether you want to create your own website, or build your resume. During four, 1-hour sessions, this program will introduce the basics of web design, including: HTML, CSS and Javascript, useful tools for building a website and additional resources to further your skills. The class will meet once per week for four weeks. Space is limited, so please only sign up if you can attend all four sessions. Some of the work will involve free lessons on codecademy.com, please create an account before the first session. You can bring your own laptop or use one of ours.

Tales for Twos and Threes Class

For children ages 2-3 and their caregivers. Songs, rhymes and stories teach children how sounds and letters relate to reading and will build a foundation for future learning. Interaction with instructors and other children encourages social development and allows caregivers to connect.

Babytime Class

For children 0-24 months and their caregivers. Caregivers will learn songs, stories and rhymes to enhance personal reading time. These skills will help children build vocabulary, recognize objects, and build a foundation for reading and learning. Some baby signs will be incorporated in this storytime. (Thursdays only)

Drop-in Thursday Activity Club

Make liquid motion toys, create snow and play Wii Games! We’ll do something new each Thursday afternoon. This is a drop-in for grades 4 and up so you can bring your friends or meet some new ones.

Early Literacy Fridays

Stop by between 10-12 p.m. for activities focusing on early literacy and fun for children 2-5 years and their caregivers! Activities vary each month but may include games, playdough, cars, blocks, and more!

Create Your Own Puzzle

It’s time to celebrate puzzles! In honor of National Puzzle Day this program will be full of fun puzzles to play and to create, including a create your own jigsaw puzzle. (Note: This program will involve paint so dress accordingly!)

Family Movie and Popcorn

Bring the family to enjoy some of the newest G or PG movies for younger audiences released to DVD. We’ll provide the popcorn and candy, and you may bring your own drink with a lid. Children ages 9 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Title will be available two weeks prior. Free tickets are required and will be available 20 min. before movie starts while supplies last.
