This illustrated biography shares the story of scientist Marie Tharp, a pioneering woman and the first person to ever successfully map the ocean floor. Marie Tharp was always fascinated by the ocean. Taught to think big by her father who was a mapmaker, Marie wanted to do something no one had ever done before: map the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Was it even possible? Not sure if she would succeed, Marie decided to give it a try.

Cheryl Keely has written a simple, yet informative book, about all the types of bridges in the world including the bridges between places, cultures, and people.  The vivid pictures bring to life the many types of bridges and the famous bridges depicted on each page.  A great introduction to the concept of what a bridge is for ages 5 and up.

Hugs are for sharing. Prepare yourself for the biggest hug in the world.  A fun rhyming book to share with that lovable, huggable person in your life. Recommended for ages 4 and up.
