What happens when one small boy picks up and throws away one small piece of litter? The ripple effect of this small action shows how we can all make a big difference in our environment. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Brian finds himself spending the summer with his Aunt and Uncle in Boring, IL after his dad gets a job as a scientist in the South Pole.  Brian is sure Boring will live up to its name, but when he and his cousin Nora discover a giant wooden house in the woods their summer becomes a lot more fun.  They soon befriend the eccentric family that lives in the crazy castle and are on their way to many summer adventures with their new friends.

Little Wolf's first howling lesson begins when Big Wolf takes him out to the forest and demonstrates the proper form of howling.  Little Wolf tries to imitate proper howling form, but he just can't stop himself from adding a few creatively formed  "YIP-YIP A DIBBY, DIBBY DO-WOP A DOOOOOOOOO". Despite his father's patience and repeated demonstrations of the accepted method of howling, Little Wolf's creative voice will not be quelled.  Big Wolf is finally won over and joins his son in exuberant, if unconventional song.  This book is humorous and illustrates a supportive father-son relationship. Recommended for PreS-Gr. 2
