Improve Your Technology Skills this Summer

Are you interested in improving your computer or typing skills? Want to learn more about a particular software such as Excel or Photoshop? Want to learn more about how to use an iPad or iPhone? Then check out these three resources:

LearningExpress Library - In the Computer Skills icon, there are Popular Software Tutorials and Learn Computer Graphics and Illustration links with educational tutorials for many Microsoft and graphics software tools including Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop. You need to have your UA library card number and PIN to access this UA Reference Department database.

GCFLearnFree.org – After selecting the Technology icon, there are educational tutorials for anything from blogging basics to getting started with  Pinterest, Twitter, and Google Documents in addition to iPad and iPhone basics.

TypingWeb.com – Whether you are learning how to type, consider yourself to be an expert typist, or are somewhere in between, this resource can help take you to the next level of your typing ability. Just click on Start Typing to begin. Please note that you have to create an account before you begin your typing lessons.
