The UAPL Minute

There is so much to show and tell about your library, and we know your time is precious. This new monthly publication will provide brief glimpses into different areas of the library, including our collection, buildings, staff, income, and expenses. We hope it will answer some questions you may have, and perhaps prompt you to learn even more. In late 2011, we'll wrap up this series with a review of memorable moments that we've shared with you throughout the year, such as the Summer Reading Club, the Fourth of July Parade, Taste of UA, Labor Day Arts Festival, and Holiday Happiness.

The Board of Trustees' four committees have been hard at work since spring planning for the future of the library.
August 2011- Library Finance Primer
Learn about library funding, expenses, and ways you can help the library.
July 2011- Our Research Databases
UAPL cardholders have access to over 100 premium research databases.
June 2011- Our Services
Outreach, Research Help, and eReader support are just a few of our services.
May 2011- Our Volunteers
Volunteers shelve books, deliver books to the homebound, pre-label materials, and so much more.
April 2011- Our Technology
The UAPL's computers allow patrons to surf the web, send an e-mail, create a resume, touch up photos and much more.
March 2011- Our Facilities
The UAPL has three unique locations throughout the city.

The staff of the UAPL is as diverse and interesting as our collection.

Our collection refers to all of the library's holdings that are accessible to the public.
