Steve Hunt will kickoff our fall film series with Annie Hall. Full of intellectual wit and cultural references, this career defining movie marked Woody Allen’s career and an important film maker and it edged out “Star Wars” to win the Oscar for best picture in 1977.

The Art of Vilhelm Hammershoi

Explore the paintings of Vilhelm Hammershoi, a Danish artist who produced some of the most lovely and haunting works to come out of the late 19th century and early 20th century. Discussion will include historic precedents for Hammershoi’s works by artists such as Vermeer, and we will analyze Hammershoi’s role in the Symbolist movement and how he relates to contemporaries like Edvard Munch. Ann Shifflet, Art History instructor at Columbus College of Art and Design is the presenter.

Backyard Friendly Birding - Drop In Activities

During the summer, Upper Arlington High School senior, Katharine Baldwin worked on a Girl Scout Gold Award by monitoring bird populations at the Audubon Grange Metro Park. Drop by her display in the atrium for birding crafts, book suggestions, to learn about her research and to get tips on how to create a bird-friendly back yard.
