American Film Classics: In the Heat of the Night

Steve Hunt concludes our fall film series highlighting American classic films with a showing of “In the Heat of the Night”. In this top notch movie, director Norman Jewison teamed up with Rod Steiger and Sidney Poitier to produce the 1960s classic In the Heat of the Night. The movie is about An African American police detective who is asked to investigate a murder in a racially hostile southern town. The movie won five Academy Awards including the Best Picture and Best Actor.

Family Movie and Popcorn

Come enjoy a Saturday afternoon movie in the library theater. We’ll be showing a newly released to DVD movie that is geared towards a young audience with a G or PG rating. The library will provide the popcorn/candy and you bring your own drink (with a lid please!) No registration necessary. Children 9 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Movie title will be available two weeks before screening.
