Students, do you feel overwhelmed trying to find appropriate sources for your projects and homework? Then the UAHS Student Portal is for you!

The UAPL Reference Librarians have narrowed down our extensive list of resources and organized them by categories that are relevant to high school students.

Easily discover databases and eBooks with information from encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, professional journals and other sources appropriate for school work. Many of these resources even tell you how to cite what you found! Best of all, they are all available any time of day.

You will need your UA library card number and PIN to access the valuable resources found through the UAHS Student Portal. And don’t forget, you can always contact a Reference Librarian by phone, textemail, or in person for assistance in using our databases and eBooks.

Gale Science in Context

Be the most knowledgeable person in the room next time the conversation turns to the latest scientific developments, or be able to intelligently argue your point of view next time a science-related debate comes up. Review science concepts like plant biology, cell division or climate change so you can blow away the science category on trivia night.  Students, find multiple sources to help you with your next project or get inspiration for entering a Science Fair.

This is all possible with Gale Science in Context.

With Gale Science in Context, researchers, students and general readers can easily find authoritative reference information covering all scientific fields, such as biology, environmental sciences, physics, astronomy and more. You will discover easy-to-understand topic overviews, in-depth encyclopedia entries, current articles from noted science publications and national newspapers, as well as relevant audio, video and online sources in this simple-to-use database. You will also find dictionaries, biographies and experiments.

Check out Gale Science in Context today! And don't forget about UAPL's other science and technology resources.
