Tales for Twos and Threes Class

For children ages 2-3 and their caregivers. Songs, rhymes and stories teach children how sounds and letters relate to reading and will build a foundation for future learning. Interaction with instructors and other children encourages social development and allows caregivers to connect. No enrollment is necessary.

Calling all 6th-12th graders, join us at the Lane Road Library on select Wednesdays for our Teen Wednesday programs. The Spring line-up includes: Mar. 4: QR Code Scavenger Hunt; Mar. 18: Insurgent Program; Apr. 1: Book Art & Blackout Poetry; Apr. 15: Earth Day Activities; Apr. 29: Mother’s Day Crafts; May 13: Duct Tape Crafts; May 27: T-shirt decorating (Bring a plain white or colored t-shirt). Snacks and refreshments will be provided at select programs.

Getting Started on your Family History - Part 2

Jayne Davis, from the Franklin County Genealogical & Historical Society, returns to finish her presentation on how to get started on tracing your family history. This program follows up on her previous program and will prepare you for the One on One Meeting with a Genealogist program on Saturday, March 21st. Registration is required and opens on March 5th.

One on One Meeting with a Genealogist

Come to the Lane Road Library from 10am-1pm to meet one on one with a genealogist. Everyone who attends will get a 20 minute meeting with a genealogist to help you get started on your family history or help you with a roadblock in your research. After the program you will be emailed a family pedigree chart. Please come with questions you want answered about your family history. To register, sign up at one of our Getting Started on Your Family History programs on March 5 & 19. You can also stop by or call the Lane Road Library at (614) 459-0273.

Preschool Stories and Crafts Class

Children ages 3-6 are invited to join us at the Lane Road Library for Stories and Crafts. Each week participants will listen to books and then make a fun project. Children and caregivers will learn prereading skills through stories, songs, rhymes, and art activities. No registration is required.
