In this program, we will discuss the artworks confiscated, destroyed and stolen by the Third Reich during World War II. We will learn about the Degenerate Art Exhibition of 1937 and why the Nazis disliked certain artworks, and we will investigate the pieces stolen by the Nazis during the war, some of which were destroyed and some hidden. We will discuss recent events in the news that have illuminated the whereabouts of some paintings, and we will also look at those that have yet to be recovered.
