Intro to Web Design

Web design skills are useful whether you want to create your own website, or build your resume. During four, 1-hour sessions, this program will introduce the basics of web design, including: HTML, CSS and Javascript, useful tools for building a website and additional resources to further your skills. The class will meet once per week for four weeks. Space is limited, so please only sign up if you can attend all four sessions. Some of the work will involve free lessons on codecademy.com, please create an account before the first session. You can bring your own laptop or use one of ours.

Teens, help us plan events and programs, promote reading and volunteering, and help make the library a great space. Grades 6-12 are welcome to our meetings and will receive service credit. No Registration required.

Tips for the College-Bound

Whether college is right around the corner or on the distant horizon this program has something for you! Beth Probst from At The Core will cover a wide range of topics from ACT/SAT testing to college applications and from high school courses to choosing a major. Parents and students are encouraged to attend as their will be tips for everyone. Recommended for families who have students in 8th - 12th grade.
