Last month we launched SELF-e, a self-publishing platform to connect local authors with local readers. Learn how you can upload your self-published eBook and make it available to readers in libraries across the state, and possibly even the country!

Youth Poetry Contest

UAPL’s Teen Advisory Board is hosting a poetry contest! To participate, write your own poem and submit a copy to any of the UAPL’s Youth Departments between March 28 –April 1st. Poems are open to creativity but are limited to 500 words.
One poem from each age group (gr. K-4; 5-8 and 9-12) will be chosen anonymously by the Teen Advisory Board, and each winner will receive a Blue Ribbon and will be featured on our website. Please include your name, grade, phone number and email address on your poem when entering.

For students attending Upper Arlington High School. If you attend UAHS and would like to expand your reading repertoire, UAHS and UAPL are partnering to offer an afternoon of lively discussion surrounding classics and contemporary literature. Stop by the UAHS Learning Center to pick up a copy of this month’s title or topic.

This year’s Ohioana Book Festival will be held on Saturday April 23rd. Ohioana Festival authors include Ohio’s 2015 Poet Laureate, Amit Majmudar, YA novelist Mindy McGinnis and historical nonfiction writer David Meyer who will join us for a moderated panel discussion. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, too. Writers and readers alike will enjoy this discussion.
