Tales for Twos and Threes Class

For children ages 2-3 and their caregivers. Songs, rhymes and stories teach children how sounds and letters relate to reading and will build a foundation for future learning. Interaction with instructors and other children encourages social development and allows caregivers to connect.

Book Buddies: Little Buddies

Students entering grades 1-3 can practice reading with a local teen during this five-week program. Registrants must commit to at least 3 weeks. (Note weeks you will be unavailable during registration). A variety of reading materials will be supplied. Registration begins May 26 and will be limited by the number of volunteers we recruit.

Super Astronauts!

Heroes are more than just comic book creations. Twenty-five real heroes grew up in Ohio and became astronauts! Educators from the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum will be here to talk about those Ohioans who defied gravity, including the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong. One of the educators will also dress up in an Apollo-style spacesuit! Recommended for ages PreK and up. Registration is required and begins June 22.

Family Evening Storytime Class

For children ages 2-6 and their families. Young children will learn a variety of skills: rhyming, identifying sounds and letters, asking questions and repeating sentences while participating in stories, rhymes, songs and extension activities.

Preschool Stories and Crafts

Children ages 3-6 are invited to join us at the Lane Road Library for Stories and Crafts. Each week participants will listen to books and then make a fun project. Children and caregivers will learn prereading skills through stories, songs, rhymes, and art activities. No registration is required.

Sculpture Fun for Kids!

Express yourself through art! Stop by to create a sculpture using pipe cleaners, foam blocks, buttons, beads, feathers, and more. This program is in celebration of Alfred Tibor’s newly installed sculptures outside of the Miller Park Library.
