Paradise can turn upside down in a second. While waiting to tee off on the 17th hole at the Waialae Country Club in Hawaii, struggling professional golfer and part-time detective Huck Doyle took a break from his practice round and looked out toward the ocean to enjoy the view. When Doyle looked back, his golf partner, sponsor, and banking billionaire Sing Ten Wong was lying on the ground—apparently shot through the heart. Who would want to kill this generous and jovial CEO? And where in the world could the shooter have been?
While doing his best to win a golf tournament, Doyle attempts to find out why his friend’s father was murdered. Throughout his investigation he finds some shady business deals and questionable financial practices. The more clues he uncovers, however, the less the Wong family cooperates. This quick and easy read is very entertaining.
