Art History: The Arcimboldo Effect--Contemporary Art

In the last of a 3-part series, we will look at the continuing influence of Giuseppe Arcimboldo on contemporary artists. We will explore the ideas of transformation and double meaning in the fascinating works of artists like Shigeo Fukuda, a Japanese artist and designer who has created amazing works including a series of provocative shadow art pieces. We will also look at Arcimboldo-inspired works by Hungarian artist Istvan Orosz, contemporary Mexican Surrealist Octavio Ocampo, and others.
